The Pro-Series™ drying cylinder is constructed with bright annealed stainless back plate giving the tumbler a pleasing appearance and a smooth surface for laundry to tumble against. This feature reduces friction between linens and the cylinder which can occur during a dry cycle. Linen wear is therefore reduced and component life can be extended by incorporating this premium design feature. Continental's drying cylinder won't corrode, chip, crack or pit.
